Includes donors of organs recovered for transplant and not used, as well as those transplanted.

Donors are divided into four mutually exclusive and complete categories. All donors meeting the criteria for Expanded

Criteria Donors for Kidney are classified as ECD, regardless of whether the kidneys were allocated under the ECD system, falling

into either the ECD or the ECD-DCD category. Non-ECDs include all other donors, including SCDs and "DCD non-ECDs".

Not all recovered organs are actually transplanted. Data tables pertaining to the recovery and disposition of organs

are presented in Section 3, Deceased Donor Organ Recovery and Disposition.
