Includes organs recovered for transplant but not transplanted, as well as organs transplanted.

Donors are divided into two mutually exclusive and complete categories. DCDs include patients whose hearts have irreversibly stopped

beating, and may also have been known as Non-Heart Beating Donors. DBDs have suffered brain death.
